Large And Wide Louis XIV Style Armchair In Solid Walnut With A High Flat Back, 19th Century, Restored.
A very beautiful and large Louis XIV style armchair in waxed walnut. It rests on four console legs, the two front ones terminating in acanthus leaves. The four legs are connected by an H-shaped stretcher turned into a baluster and surmounting four ball feet. The armrests and supports are very ornate and also decorated with lovely acanthus work. The back is high and flat, sloping outwards for great comfort. The seat has just been reupholstered and is therefore very comfortable; it has been redone with a beautiful fabric featuring foliate and floral motifs on a salmon-colored background.
