Palais Royal, Precious Mother-of-pearl And Gilt Binding, And 1822 Almanac

A luxury gift, which was sold in galleries of Palais Royal, an almanac notebook binding.
Very neat, it presents two mother-of-pearl covers engraved of a fine garland of elegant foliage. These two plates are set in a gilt copper mount, (which made the reputation ofthis gallery), titled souvenir, large chiseled frames with palmette spandrels, chiseled gilt spine, the clasp from gilt wire windings opens by removing pencil, here a superb brass pencil with adjustable lead, of quality, which is probably a later replacement, and is a pleasure to see.
Good condition for binding, a small crack on a mother-of-pearl cover, (photo).
Anual almanac notebook has been used, it shows a beautiful 1822 calendar, leaves are written, some a little stained, see the pretty pages of tmonths.
on end of year, it was replaced, a brass rod held it up and down in binding.
