19th Century Fan, Moses Saved From The Waters And View Of Amsterdam
Paper fan where the mount is in bone or in ivory, applied with gold and silver leaf. In front (Moses) it is in good condition on the back a kind of transparent paper has been glued. It dates from around 1840-1850.
It is a chromolithographed sheet enhanced with gouache.
On one side we see Moses saved from the waters with a group of women surrounded by flowers and lush vegetation.
On the other side we see the city of Amsterdam with boats in the foreground.
