17th century brass offering dish with "Chinese" decoration.
Brass finely engraved with scrolls and scenes of Chinese people in a garden catching dates in front of a pagoda.
Work from the Netherlands or Italy around 1680.
The brass is gilded and matted with agate.
The offering dishes were initially used to receive bread offerings from the faithful during Christian religious ceremonies.
Excellent condition.
Dimensions: 27.3 x 20.5 cm.
