Oil Painting By Paul Ackerman
We present this interesting oil on thick cardboard by the artist Paul ACKERMAN, born on December 17, 1908 in Iasi, Romania and died in Paris on March 13, 1981 at the age of 73. He was a painter and sculptor, registered with the Maison des Artistes in Paris. He arrived in Paris with his parents of Jewish origin in 1912, after studying law, guided by his love for painting and enrolled at the Léger Academy. After the invasion by the Nazis, he settled in Saint Tropez where he met Pierre Bonnard. This meeting would profoundly change his version of painting; moreover, the work we are presenting was influenced by Bonnard when it was created. In very good condition and very well framed. (E25)
