"Cuban Mahogany Chest Of Drawers, Louis XVI Period – Part 2, 18th Century"
This Cuban mahogany chest of drawers opens in a belt with three drawers with a slight recess surrounded by rods with oval and ribboned brass entries. Below, two drawers, of identical style, but larger, accompanied by falling handles and also equipped with Louis XVI entries. All are equipped with authentic locks, functional with their keys. The half-round uprights with stopped fluting stand out on spindle feet with constriction fitted with brass sabots. The sides are independently darkened by two panels of different dimensions. This piece of furniture is topped with a Carrara marble with a projection highlighted by an openwork brass gallery. The drawer interiors as well as the structure are in oak. This chest of drawers represents a fine example of the mastery of the cabinetmakers of the Louis XVI period through their know-how and attention to detail. ********* Period: 2nd Part 18th Excellent condition.
