- "For two years after his baccalaureate, he studied medicine, then turned to art. He then attended the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, specializing more precisely in painting. After deportation during the war, he returned to Brittany where he married a schoolteacher. He lived for 4 or 5 years in Léchiagat. He mainly practiced painting and engraving. He was then recruited to the Ecole des Beaux-Art in Quimper where he met Jos Le Corre. He taught anatomy and perspective before giving art history courses. He did short internships at HB before working for Kéraluc where he only produced unique pieces. His time there was brief, since he broke with the factory on the occasion of the creation of "L'Atelier du Steïr". After this experience, Georges Connan devoted himself only to painting and teaching. The few ceramics found hardly allow us to trace the main lines in a creation that was of small quantity, but enough to, nevertheless, note the imprint and the obvious influence of Jos Le Corre. (according to Philippe THEALLET, Kéraluc..., master's thesis)
