Haruhiko Sunagawa is a painter and sculptor, author of assemblages, draftsman, abstract kinetic trend, Japanese, born September 20, 1946 in Fukuata (capital of Fukuoka Prefecture at the northern tip of the island of Kyūshū in Japan). Haruhiko Sunagawa studied physics at the Tokyo University of Science, then in 1973 drawing and painting at the Hammersmith College of Arts in London. He lives and works in Paris. He is represented by the Denise René gallery. He died on June 9, 2022 at his home in Paris. Haruhiko Sunagawa creates seemingly light structures, which combine the solidity of stone and wood with the fragility of glass, the rigor of geometry with the "moving" effects of light.
