"Bongo Head"
This Bongo head, carved in stone, is a mysterious work with simple, stylized features. Generally isolated from the body, these heads could have served as funerary relics or effigies of ancestors, used during rituals related to the memory of the dead. The formal simplicity—oval face, smooth forehead, clean features—evokes a powerful symbolic language, where the essence of the person takes precedence over anatomical detail.
