"Terracotta Sculpture Depicting An Anonymous Deity Circa 1950"
Terracotta male figure representing a divinity, in a frontal and stylized posture. The elongated face, the accentuated beard and the folds of the garment are treated with a certain monumentality, in an archaic spirit inspired by Byzantine or Romanesque art. The surface is covered with a blue-green and ochre enamel, applied in irregular layers, creating an expressive and deliberately aged texture. Handcrafted piece from the 1950s, probably unique, unsigned.
