This vegetable tureen has elegant double handles with palmette attachments, and the lid having as a finial a magnificent pine cone resting on its leafy terrace with fleurons. Body and lid engraved with the Alliance Coat of Arms framed by a griffin and a lion, both standing upright, all surmounted by a Count's Crown.
Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, it is punched with the Hallmarks (on body and lid) of 1st Standard called "Coq" (.950) and guarantee for PARIS 1809-19 and Hallmarks of Master Goldsmith Jean Baptiste Claude ODIOT (initials "JBCO" and a forge bellows) received in 1785.
