Rare pair of quadrangular vases in polychrome earthenware glazed terre de feu signed Longchamp, numbered 1072 under the base. Rich decorations in light relief with orientalist scenes: Chinese figures in a wooded landscape, pagodas, and floral scrolls. Turquoise background contrasting with the deep brown and gold enamels. Side handles with scrolls and finely molded integrated base. French work, Longchamp earthenware factory (Côte-d'Or), circa 1880-1900.
