"Directory Clock"
Large and beautiful gilt bronze clock of exceptional quality ; probably a work of the famous Parisian bronzier Antoine Ravrio (André-Antoine Ravrio 1759 - 1814 ). Superior quality in terms of the chiseling and gilding of the bronzes , in addition it is a model that I have never seen in my career (I have been doing this job for 40 years).
Condition: on the white enamel dial there are some small chips and someone tried to erase part of the signature.
Very beautiful mechanism with day indication; to be cleaned by a watchmaker.
A French work from the end of the 18th century - beginning of the 19th century.
Truly a clock of museum quality !
