The female face is treated according to the aesthetic canons of the period: heart-shaped lips, half-closed eyes, blush on the cheeks, thin eyebrows, and a “garçonne” haircut painted in a warm mahogany brown. Everything evokes flappers, Berlin cabarets and the sophisticated figures of silent cinema.
This type of head, used for luxury dolls or decorative objects, bears witness to the worldly taste and modernist forms that characterized German production between the wars.
