Rare and very beautiful pair of Louis XIV period candlesticks in solid silver. Both candlesticks are perfectly hallmarked with the charge and discharge hallmarks of the city of Bordeaux for the period 1724 - 1725. They bear the master goldsmith hallmark of Antoine Roberdeau master goldsmith on October 12, 1718 to 1773, capital A and R surrounding an ermine. The two candlesticks are absolute simplicity and are rather heavy for their size. They both weigh 1000 grams.
