Large and beautiful orientalist landscape from 1925 which represents a luminous view at sunrise over the mountains of Kabylie...The work is signed by the painter of Italian origin Roméo Charles Aglietti (1878-1956) an excellent artist whose interesting biography can be read on the Wikipedia site: born in Algiers, he will be a member of the Society of French Artists of North Africa and the founder of the Artistic Union of North Africa... note: Roméo Aglietti comes from a family of artists, notably his grandfather who was the sculptor Luigi Agliati (1816-1863)...His father "Pascal Aglietti" was a tailor established in Algiers and also a violinist: In 1898, Roméo Aglietti studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris where he was the pupil of the orientalist painter Georges Antoine Rochegrosse (1859-1938).
