By its dimensions, its richness of execution, number and quality of its relics, this is an exceptional reliquary. On a red background, this paperolles montage from the early 18th century is decorated with an altar and its architectural altarpiece with six panels with its plinths, entablatures, columns and pediments. 21 ex-ossibus relics of Martyrs are inserted in this superb work.

The antependium thus accommodates relics of the Holy Martyrs, Amati, Victor and Dignus.
The center of the altarpiece receives a raised engraving of approximately 8 cm by 6. The two side panels present, in two octagonal niches, significant ex-ossibus relics of two Martyrs, Saint Severi and Crispiniani, and two other relics of more modest dimensions of Saints Crispini and Eustachi. Finally, the medallions of the upper panels of the altarpiece honor fourteen saints, namely Innocenti, Liberat, Bonifaci, Florenci, Effrenti, Fortunati, Paulini, Pauli, Corneli, Callixti, Urbani, Innocenti, Felicis, and probably Paul of Neocaesarea.
A work of devotion that could be attributed to the Visitandines.
Very good condition. No postal shipping possible for this piece given the structural fragility of this type of mounting.
Expect delivery Dimensions of 61 cm by 51.
