JAPAN - Edo Period (1603-1868)Samurai Yari Spear.Finely burgauté wooden shaft, the last quarter decorated with a braided and gilded rope sabot, two copper rings.Straight "Ho" spear blade of triangular section, double-edged and red lacquered throat, it is protected by a saya in textured lacquered wood (very uneven).At the other end a black lacquered metal cap "Hirumaki" to protect the shaft from damage by contact with the ground.Dimensions: 240 x 20.5 x 3 cm.Blade length: 106.5 cm.Sold with the base.Dimensions with the base: 240 x 20 x 18 cm.
