Pair of cabriolet armchairs with medallion backs, resting on 4 fluted rudenté legs. They are upholstered in a beautiful Louis XVI silk with floral motifs and medallions in the style of Wedgwood. (Maison Lelièvre). Louis XVI period, circa 1780, one of the two armchairs bears the stamp of Claude Séné.Claude II Sené known as the Younger - Cabinetmaker. Paris. Master on July 31, 1769. Younger son of Claude I and brother of the famous Jean-Baptiste Claude, he worked on rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis but had to file for bankruptcy in 1783. Beautiful model with elegant lines.
