Very Large Pewter Dish - Turin, 18th Century

Very large round "venison" platter in pewter with a molded edge. It is stamped with friezes of repetitive motifs arranged concentrically: passing lions, Saint Sebastian, grids, flowers, fans and various geometric patterns.
Hallmark (worn) of the Fratelli FILIBERTO active from 1770 affixed three times : two angels wearing a crown / FRATELLI FILIBERTO. The last shot shows the very legible hallmark of these masters found on another piece.
Diameter: 56.7 cm.
TURIN, End of the 18th century.

Exceptionally large in very good condition offering a beautiful decorative presence.
These dishes were used to present small game or poultry "naturally" at the table. Once presented to the guests, the dish returned to the kitchen so that its contents could be cut and finally consumed.
