Object description :

"Clock Portico Marble Empire Period"
Very beautiful portico clock from the Empire period around 1810. Fine ornamentation in gilded bronze with mercury and very finely chiseled gold. In white and black marble, elegant architecture with two thick fluted columns decorated with asparagus and guilloche capitals, they rest on a square base in black marble decorated with a rocaille.

Each of the columns is decorated with flame vases and, at the top, a large flowered basin decorated with imposing handles chiseled in laurel branches; the vases frame the large domed dial in white enamel highlighted by an imposing drapery. The space between the columns is occupied by a very beautiful sun pendulum.

Imposing base highlighted by a row of pearls and set with palmette friezes.
