This remarkable cartel clock is made of Boulle marquetry in five colors: green, red, blue, yellow and mother-of-pearl horn, on a polished brass background. It is decorated with rich and fine ornamentation in chased bronze, representing a caduceus (attribute of the god Hermes), a quiver, a flower pot and laurel garlands.
