An antique Napoleon III Cartel clock crafted from fine materials, dating from the second half of the 19th century.

The case is entirely veneered using the famous technique devised by Boulle and features an allegorical figure of a warrior on the top.

Beneath the dial, the glass door is decorated with an elaborate sculptural group depicting an allegorical triumph.

The two corners are embellished with bronze finials depicting plant-like figures.
