This magnificent and rare vase comes from the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy School of Art, also known as the Bombay School of Art. The Art School was created in the mid-19th century to promote indigenous arts, which were considered extinct; this deep green vase with its striking shape bears a Hindi signature on the base.
