Brass Basin - 18th Century
18th century brass basin, bed warmer. Origin Lorraine? In repoussé brass, decorated with a marquis' crown? a coat of arms and palmette branches. The lid edge is decorated with dots. The basin edge is gadrooned. The lid has a rolled edge on a wrought iron stiffener, as does the basin. The socket is wrought iron. The handle is old but probably not original. The copper rivets are old and original. Used condition. Some deformations and cuts related to age and use. See photos
