Henri Picard (1840-1890) Parisian bronze-workerAccording to the National Archives, Henri Picard, bronze-worker and gilder, established himself at 6 rue Jarente from 1831 to 1839 before moving to 10 rue de la Perle until 1864. He supplied decorative objects for Napoleon III's private apartments at the Louvre. He was known for the quality of his tableware and mantelpieces, particularly his combination of gilt and silvered bronze. An important pair of twelve-light candelabra by Picard is preserved at the Louvre Museum.
