Great Clock Gilt Bronze Louis XV Vincent 1860
Imposing
and very decorative clock in the Louis XV style and from the Napoleon
III period around 1860, stamped on the plate of the mechanism "VINCENT
CIE" clockmaker referenced in the Tardy on the date 1860, dictionary of
French clockmakers. Thick architecture in gilded bronze of very good
quality, of animated shape decorated with scrolls, fleurons and
branches of flowers, decorated at the top with long scrolls.
Large domed dial in white enamel accompanied by finely worked gilded hands. Protected by a domed glass set in a chiseled bezel.
Original mechanism without modification, striking from hours and half hours on old bell.
