This is a reinterpretation of the famous anecdote, in which a sentry obeying orders stops any suspect wanting to cross the limits. Beautiful gilded frame, mounted in the old style, decorated with foliage.
Auguste Carli: born July 12, 1868 in Marseille, died in Paris on January 28, 1930. French sculptor, painter, teacher, author of numerous works still visible mainly in Marseille and its surroundings.
