Revolutionary-made pistol Model 1763/66.
Lock, with flat body and hammer, engraved "Mre de Libreville" and bearing an illegible reception hallmark. Iron bassinet. Battery with turnbacks. For the record, during the revolution the Manufacture de Charleville was renamed Manufacture de Libreville.
On the left side of the barrel is the date of manufacture. Breech tail marked M 1763.
On the fittings we can see the trace of the reception hallmarks. The cap bears the hallmark F of the controller Le Fèvre.
This weapon testifies to the quality that certain revolutionary manufactures could achieve.
