Double Wooden Comb – Late Egyptian Period – Archaeology
Superb and rare double wooden comb. Egyptian work from the Late Period (-664 to -332). Good condition. Wear from use. One row is composed of fine teeth, the other has thicker and spaced teeth. 7.1 cm long 5 cm wide approximately The Louvre has a similar comb under the inventory number E 228 and is currently on deposit at the National Museum in Warsaw. Another is present at the Natural History Museum of Cherbourg under the number MEL 2006.0.241.
