A student of Cormon, Leroy settled in Algeria at the end of the 1920s and was awarded the Abdl El Tif prize in 1937. A painter from the Algiers school, he made numerous trips to the metropolitan Mediterranean. Mentioned on the back "Palm trees in the dunes", circa 1950.
