Large Reliquary Paperolles - Christ On The Cross - 19th Century
The Christ on the cross, in polychrome stucco, is the specificity of this reliquary. This is a rather rare presentation. It is surrounded by a fine montage of golden paperolles resting on a red background, echoing the blood of the Savior.
Four relics accompany it, these are Saints Agnes and Christine and Saints Clair and Innocent.
A devotional work of a congregation from the very end of the 18th or the beginning of the 19th century.
Very good condition
Dimensions of 31.5 cm by 38 cm and 7 cm deep.
Reference 664
Given the structural fragility of the paperolles, this reliquary cannot travel by post. Plan for delivery.
