"Gilded Copper Chalice (mercury) Gothic Period Early 15th Century "
Exceptional chalice of the Eucharist in gilded copper (with mercury) in the Gothic style. The barrel with a cut belly is topped with a knot embossed and chiseled with decoration of flowers with four petals (in the center) and stylized laurel leaves (at the top and bottom). The barrel above the shower foot is decorated with two cabochons of two small garnets. The bell-shaped cup in silver-plated and vermilion copper. German or Austrian work from the beginning of the 15th century. Condition of use .
