Lithograph on Velin paper by Jean Picart le Doux (1902-1982). It illustrates the fable by Jean de la Fontaine (1621-1695) "the hare and the tortoise) whose moral is well known, for the book of twenty fables published in 1961. The hare leaps to overtake the poor tortoise who continues on his way! Bottom right, the lithograph is signed in the plate and numbered 89/299, in pencil, in the margin. Bottom left, it is countersigned in ink, by the artist, in the margin. Very good original condition.
