"the Cycling Race On July 14", Gouache By Gen Paul (1895-1975)

This gouache, full of life and colors, makes us experience, in the foreground, a bicycle race on July 14, well decked out with three large tricolor flags. In the background, an entire neighborhood enjoys the spectacle and refreshments of the aptly named: "the bicycle bar"! The work is signed 'bottom left': Gen Paul, for Eugène Paul, painter, draftsman, engraver and lithographer, Parisian expressionist, knight of the Legion of Honor and friend of LF Céline.
