Boulle Marquetry Games Box Napoleon III Period Second Empire Tortoiseshell
Napoleon III - Second Empire period games box, with a notched shape in Boulle marquetry known as the 1st part decorated with chiseled scrolls on a tortoiseshell background. The inside of the box reveals storage compartments for mother-of-pearl tokens and point counters. The lid has the monograms LP (?). Small localized losses on the protruding corners of the box on the front. The outer lid in good general condition.
