Live drawing of a seated man wrapped in a blanket signed and dated 39 lower left by Pierre Charbonnier (1897-1978). Pierre Charbonnier was born in 1897 in Vienne, Isère, he studied at the Beaux Arts in Lyon, before joining the Ranson Academy in Paris. From 1919, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, des Tuileries and d'Automne. Very active in the film world, he made films, and assisted Robert Bresson for a long time in the decoration of his feature films. Close to the intellectual circles of his time, he became friends with René Char, Jacques Prévert and Francis Ponge. Fully integrated into the cultural life of the capital, he exhibited at Katia Granoff, Albert Loeb, Henriette Gomes... The drawing is sold unframed.
