Large Medici Vase Decorated With Fruits In Cracked Earthenware Circa 1930
Important Medici vase in cracked earthenware from the Art Deco period.
It consists of three parts on a metal axis.
First, a pedestal on a square base measuring 23 cm by 23 cm, worked on the neck with a frieze of rounds and ovals, then acanthus leaves above.
then the vase part itself is decorated with a frieze of intertwined Greek motifs on the underside and a ball rosary under the bowl.
finally, a large bowl of fruit: apples, pears, pomegranates, apricots, etc. resting on foliage.
Be careful, the proportions are important!
Dimensions:
66 cm high and approximately 48 cm wide at the fruit bowl.
Work from the South of France.
The cracked earthenware is in very good condition, with a few small, barely visible restorations on some fruits and a larger one on the square base.
A very beautiful Medici vase, very spectacular and decorative.
