Carpet, Tapestry, 18th Century
- Carpet or table mat, needlepoint technique (needlework, wool and silk on canvas), 18th century.
- Carpet whose field is composed in its center of an octagonal cartouche with a plant motif surrounded by a border using wavy branches as frieze motifs. On either side of this central medallion is positioned a flower vase. The entire field is covered with a decoration of stylized scrolls in light blue, dark blue, gray tones punctuated with orange and pink florets on a beige background. The frame is composed of a border dotted with colored florets on a brown background, at the four corners staples adorn the corners of the listel, the four cardinal points are marked by a flower.
- Needlepoint technique (Aubusson stitch, wool and silk, on Penelope canvas). Lined carpet.
- Good condition (wear to be noted see photos), very beautiful freshness and variety of colors.
