Sarreguemines, Sofa Inkwell, Pocket Watch Holder
This double inkwell in Sarreguemines earthenware also has a place to place a pocket watch.
Called "sofa inkwell" in the earthenware catalogues, it here bears the "Roses and daisies" decoration, a decoration listed in the "Le tarif des produits faïenciers" of the factory in April 1898.
There is also an armchair inkwell in the same spirit.
Printed mark including the name of the town in an arc, the letters U & Cie for Utzschneider & Compagnie, as well as the name of the decoration.
Hollow mark: The shape number 4160.
