Made circa 1960 in Germany by the firm well known for these objects.
This box is entirely original with enamel paint on all sides, engraved on the bottom and signed with ‘EB’ for Emil Brenk who was the manufacturer of the cast iron.
When activated, the bird rises, turns from left to right and sings a luminous melody while flapping its wings and tail and opening its beak.
