Full Samurai armor modeled on that worn by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. KABUTO in black lacquered metal, decorated with 29 spokes of black lacquered wood. SHIKORO (neck cover) with four degrees in black lacquered iron and braiding of white, plum and orange silk. FUKIGAYESHI (the side fins) and MABI SA SHI (the visor) in black lacquered iron. Half-mask of samurai called MEMPO in black lacquered iron. Pronounced chin, mobile nose, white horsehair moustache, pierced nostrils, red lacquered interior. Gorget with four degrees in black lacquered iron and plum, black and orange silk. SODE (shoulder guards) with six degrees in black lacquered metal and white, plum, black and orange silk. Breastplate with eight lamellae of black lacquered iron and braiding of white, plum, black and orange silk. Arm guards, kote, in chainmail and iron plates. Skirt, KUSAZURI, and thigh guards, HAIDATE, with five rows in black lacquered metal and white, plum, black and orange silk. Leggings, SUNEATE, in black lacquered metal and plum and white silk. Very good general condition. Additional photos and details on request. Sold with its elegant transport case, gusoku bitsu, in carved and black lacquered wood, its front face engraved with bamboo in a cartouche. Dimensions of the armor in seated position: 221 x 90 x 80 cm. Notes: In Japan, samurai are commemorated every year, many people and temples often keep such armor for generations. And for the most passionate this armor can, of course, be worn. Very decorative object.
