Large Louis XIII - Louis XIV Style Armchair, Wide And High Back, Embossed Velvet Fabric

Very beautiful Louis XIII - Louis XIV style armchair, resting on four turned baluster legs and connected together by an H-shaped spacer bar and a high crosspiece on the front. The backrest is wide and high, it is slightly inclined, thus providing great seating comfort. The armrests are in crosiers, the ends are decorated with an acanthus leaf and finished with a scroll. The supports are in baluster. The seat is old, it has lost a little firmness but is still comfortable. The covering fabric is a beautiful velvet with embossed patterns, it is in good condition, the colors are slightly faded. Beautiful studded finish. Our armchair is a beautiful 19th century manufacture in waxed and patinated beech, only the front crosspiece is in walnut.
