Mirror With Nymphs After Jean Goujon, Embossed & Chiseled Iron, France Circa 1880.
Rare mirror entirely composed of iron elements, frame, rivets, mascaron, the embossed and chiselled plates are decorated with a rich decoration composed of nymphs and dolphins facing each other, the cut iron pediment is decorated with a Renaissance-style female mask, beveled mirror (noticeable wear of the mercury), the whole rests on a screwed oak plate. France circa 1880. A beautiful object! in honorable condition….
