Painted hard porcelain
Dimensions : L. 24.5; W. 17 (cm.)
Chantilly, circa 1805

An oblong, navette-shaped pickle dish decorated with a double wolf's-tooth fillet and a floral garland around the rim. This model is close to the Tournai productions. Signed "P" on the underside for Claude François Pigory, who established a hard-paste porcelain factory from 1803. He was responsible for some very fine vases, some of which are on display at the Musée Condé.
