Early 19th-century Dagoty Plate With Bird Design, "restored"
Artist: Dagoty
A very pretty plate with a bird motif on a blue background and Empire-period gilding.
There is one small chip along the rim and likely an old restoration indicated by a yellow spot along the rim at the 8 o'clock position
on the plate.
It remains a very attractive decorative piece, with this restoration barely noticeable.
The back is marked “P.L. Dagoty” in Paris.
now located at 29 Rue Grange Batellière.
