Scepter Of Authority, Gabon - African Art
Our wooden scepter of authority is richly decorated with six figures of female ancestors, arranged in a crown. They were formerly covered with a white polychrome, removed and patinated by use.
The figures are surmounted by a beautiful bird carved in relief.
