Pretty white opaline plate with Desvignes decoration, painter and gilder on glass, crystal and porcelain, who became famous for his technique of painting on opal crystal with gold or silver leaf and only vegetable colors. The pieces from his workshop are characterized by the use of matte tones of dark blue and red, with a predilection for golden surfaces which dominate in the form of palmettes, flowers and very finely drawn garlands.
