Charles X Yellow Opaline Jewel Box With Gilt Bronze Mount, Circa 1830
A rectangular jewellery box made of canary-yellow opaline, with a removable lid featuring bevelled sides and upper edges. It is set within a substantial chiselled and gilded bronze frame comprising moulded bands with a pearl frieze, a hinged clasp (miniature lock) and a sculpted corner base with rocaille volutes ending in ball feet.
