Medieval brass spoon, 15th century


This type of spoon was called in the Middle Ages cuiller à ymaige (spoon with image), because it shows a handle topped by a figurine, probably religious. The bowl is wide, almost round, and not much deep.

Very good condition, a tiny crack on the left edge of the bowl (see pictures).
